When You Choose to Follow Christ

I was thinking tonight about changing and the effect of the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives and this quote came to mind.

 

“When you choose to follow Christ, you choose to be changed. The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature.”

    i really like this quote! I rememorized it last semester. so I was thinking in sacrament meeting today. I was thinking about missionaries and how amazing they are. I didn’t realize it until now (because so many of my friends are leaving and gone) how much work and sacrifice it takes to be a missionary. I just wanna say thank you for serving your mission! You have always been such a great example to me! I hope I can be as good of a missionary and person that you are. Thanks for being the best big brother! Love you!
